How do I see the free slots for my booking? 

Either by pressing the button “check the availability” or “book the tour” you will be redirected to the slot page. Then you just need to pick the time that best suits you, and you’re ready to start rowing! :)

How do I know whether my tour is booked or not?

An email with the confirmation ticket will be immediately sent to the email address you have provided us.

Which credit cards do you accept?

We accept all the major credit card circuits and also PayPal

What is the refund policy?

You can cancel your reservation anytime before the beginning of the tour. Please bear in mind that we will keep your 20€ deposit as a prepayment penalty.

Can I schedule the tour at a different time than what the free slots system shows me?

Only the standard tour can’t be rearranged on a different time schedule. On the other hand, private tours and night tours can be customized by writing an email at venetianrowing@gmail.com (The last slot available for the night tour is 8:30 PM)

I am a beginner, can I book the tour anyway?

Of course! The entire project’s purpose is meant for beginners. Our teachers will teach you everything you need to perform the perfect tour while enjoying an amazing view of the city from a unique point of view.

What is the meeting point?

Directions are clearly explained on Google Maps, please make sure you digit “Real Venetian Kayak” (the name of the building where we are) on your browser and you will easily find us.

Is there any discount policy for groups?

Is there a "dress code"?

You'll be ok in your t-shirt and shorts in the summertime. In Autumn and Springtime, it can be quite chilly, therefore you might need your booties, long trousers, a wind jacket. Bring a towel and a change just in case.

Is there any dressing-room to change clothes?

We do have them. However, we kindly suggest arriving at the premises ready to start the tour (dress-code is explained at the point above)

Should I leave my passport, valuables at the hotel?

It is preferable to leave them in the hotel unless you are paying for your outing in cash at the rental office. Once there, we’ll ask you to show your identity card or passport when paying.

Is there a maximum number of people per tour?

Maximum 2 people per tour. All of our tours are private sessions, in order to give you the best service. Please contact us if your group is bigger. We will provide tailor-made excursions according to your needs.

How can I book and pay for my tour?

You can pre-book your tour on our website, where you will be asked to choose the date and the type of your tour. You will receive a confirmation email, in which we will confirm the availability of the chosen date. In order to secure your tour, you will be asked for an initial prepayment of 20 euros per person, while the final payment (cash or credit card) will be finalized at the RVK premises.

Where will we go and see?

The route of the rowing tour is decided time by time by the Instructors. It depends on the level of the participants, on the conditions of the weather, the level of the tide, on the conditions of the traffic. The tour takes 90 minutes.

How many people can fit in the row? What if we are a family?

The standard tour is designed for 2 people. If you are more than 2, send us an email to venetianrowing@gmail.com to customize a private tour.

Can we arrange a particular path for the tour?

We daily monitor the tide with the software provided by the municipality. Therefore, tours can only be decided in compliance with the tide by the tour guide and cannot be customized.

How do we deal with bad weather conditions?

If the tour is canceled due to weather conditions, you will be notified within one hour before the scheduled departure time, and you will be fully refunded ALSO of your prepayment deposit.

Can under-age people take part in the tour?

The main goal of Venetian Kayaking is to ensure a safe guided tour to its clients. Kids between 6 and 18 can take part in the tour but only with parental supervision.

Are there any particular pre-requirements for the tour before the start?

No, there are not. You will only be asked to show up at the premises no later than 15 minutes before the beginning of the tour.

Do the instructors speak English?

Of course! They all speak a very fluent English

Can people with disabilities take part in the tour?

We put the safety of our customers above everything. Due to the particular nature of the experience, we’ve decided not to accept people with serious disabilities.

Can pregnant women take part in the tour?

We put the safety of our customers above everything, therefore we decided to not accept women who are after the 3rd months of pregnancy.
